Evidence call on Westwood is extended
A CALL for evidence into sex claims against Tim Westwood while at the BBC has been extended.
The Beeb has appointed independent safeguarding expert Jahnine Davis to assist with the review.
Hip-hop DJ Westwood, 65, has been accused of a string of sexual assaults against women, which he “strongly denies”.
Barrister Gemma White is leading the probe, which began a month ago.
Announcing an extension until December 2, she said: “I understand speaking about sensitive matters can be painful.
“It is important I hear from everyone who wishes to speak and I have extended the period for people to get in touch.”
Westwood left the BBC in 2013.
