Acid Dream: The Great LSD Plot

It’s estimated that during the 1970s, 60% of the world’s supply of LSD came from Wales. In a remote farmhouse, a group called The Microdot Gang manufactured and exported the drug, in the belief that it would change the world. This podcast tells the story of the gang’s formation.

It is narrated by Rhys Ifans and his dulcet tones make it a joy to listen to. The podcast contrasts the wholesome rural setting with the gang’s endeavours, adding tongue-in-cheek humour (a Welsh legend is “as famous in Wales as King Arthur’s sword… or Tom Jones’s virility”).
