Troy: Blues not the real deal yet
Birmingham v Sunderland Championship, kick-off 8pm
TROY DEENEY has warned that surprise package Birmingham can become even better – but must not get carried away.
Blues go into tonight’s visit of Sunderland having lost just once in their last eight games.
They are 10th in the Championship and just three points off the play-off positions after being tipped in some quarters for relegation.
But forward Deeney (above) said: “It’s not time to get excited, not at all. I feel like we’re a work in progress,
“We’re getting people buying into it, which is great but there is still loads of work to do to progress us to being a genuine top-10 team.
“We have to keep our feet on the ground.”
