PEP GUARDIOLA feels Manchester City are almost ready to sign off for the World Cup with their early-season objectives complete.

City are in the last 16 of the Champions League and two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal heading into Brentford’s visit tomorrow, their last match before the Qatar break.

Boss Guardiola (above) said: “We could be top of the league but Arsenal have been exceptional.

“But the main target is Champions League qualification and not being far away from the top of the league.”
