MARTINEZ TIPS ROM TO SHINE

ROBERTO MARTINEZ says Romelu Lukaku can still have a major impact on the World Cup after naming Belgium’s record goalscorer in his 26-man squad for Qatar.

The former Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United star (top) has played only 29 minutes for Inter Milan since August because of hamstring and thigh injuries.

Martinez, whose side’s opening fixture is against Canada on November 23, said: “Romelu Lukaku is continuing treatment but he can still have a big impact.”

Martinez compared his Everton midfielder Amadou Onana with Marouane Fellaini and added: “His physical profile will be useful, especially with his evolution in the Premier League in recent months.”
