Oil demo hits The Scream

TWO eco activists tried to glue themselves to Norway’s most famous painting – The Scream .

Guards at the National Museum, Oslo, grabbed the pair as one shouted: “I scream for people dying.”

The Stop Oil Exploration group claimed the stunt had been a success.

Edvard Munch’s 1893 masterpiece – which shows a figure screaming – is protected by glass and was not damaged. Norway is a major oil producer.
