US polls overkill of cowardly BBC

-

I don’t suppose anyone outside Nevada or the Washington beltway cares about Trumpite Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo’s election to be governor of the “silver state”.

We’ll never hear of him again, unless he’s embroiled in a major scandal, or becomes President of the USA, which often amounts to the same thing.

But the BBC insists on telling us about this, and all the other mid-term American elections all day, every day, with a small army of presenters and reporters despatched at huge licence payers’ expense.

The coverage was overkill, even for a political nerd like me.

It strikes me this obsession with polls over there is a useful way of playing down the real story at home: the overwhelming public demand for a General Election here.

Creep Beeb bosses are frightened of the Tories. They didn’t report last week’s mass lobby of MPs for an early verdict on this lot.
