Camp twist Wednesday
Over on I’m a Celeb, Matt Hancock finally made his entrance – alongside Strictly love cheat Seann Walsh – and spent the week winning the public vote (in a way fellow Tories could only dream of at the minute).
Of course, being voted to eat sheep’s lady parts and a camel’s appendage is not exactly winning the keys to No10. (Although actually... you will encounter plenty of the latter in Westminster.) From the edit we’ve seen, Matt also seems to be winning over his fellow campmates – as there’s been giggles aplenty, heart-to-hearts over the campfire and even a declaration that he’s a “brave man” ( from Corrie’s Sue Cleaver).
There’s only one explanation for it – we thought the show was back in the jungle this year, but it’s really in... The Twilight Zone.
Yep, it’s clearly in a parallel universe where Tory Hancock isn’t a villain for his involvement in the unlawful release of 25,000 untested hospital patients into care homes, the PPE crisis, and the breaking of his own lockdown rules...
But a hero... for winning them an octopus for dinner.
Good twist, ITV.
What next? They get 11 stars and win an ABBA-themed party night with special guest Boris Johnson?
