“The weather gods were with my dad when he took this stunning photograph while visiting the Lake District recently,” says 42-year-old Kathryn Craven, from Selby, North Yorkshire.

Paul, who is 68, and his wife, Lesley Reed, also 68, visited Buttermere while staying in Grasmere. “My dad’s a cabinet maker so has a keen eye for detail, and loves snapping away when he can, including the last time we were in the Lakes for my 40th birthday.”
