‘Taxi clinger’ killed by car

A MAN who reportedly clung on to a moving taxi died when he fell in front of a car early yesterday.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage from the Promenade in Blackpool.

A car driver, 69, and a man, 45, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A taxi driver, 58, was held on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The victim, in his 30s, was from Fleetwood.
