Kay could be gagging for political jokes
Will Peter Kay’s upcoming shows next month mark his first venture into political commentary?
The comic was humbled by the rush to buy tickets for his new tour, which will now stretch into 2025.
He noted that some people are buying for shows that “aren’t for a good while yet” but assured them “we’ll have a laugh when we’re all together”. “PS,” he added. “Matt Hancock is a proper b***end.”
He might argue it isn’t a joke, more a fact about the Tory, above, but it’s Kay’s first gag about anything political so it could mark a new direction for his first tour in 12 years.
He’ll certainly have plenty of material…
