Cold comfort in Steel City

THE hardy folk of Sheffield are the UK’s best at carrying on with a common cold, a survey reveals.

Steel City dwellers take the fewest sick days because of the illness with only half a day off annually.

They are followed by residents of Liverpool and Glasgow. But Londoners are most likely to struggle to perform with a cold, the poll for Olbas found.

Spokesman Dr Roger Henderson said: “It certainly seems there’s a north-south divide.”
