MY BEAUTIFUL BACKYARD
Tumbling baskets of yellow, orange and apricot begonias compete for space with bright-pink geraniums, lilac campanulas, white fuchsias and leafy hostas in Pam Goulding’s glorious garden jumble of plants, ornaments and furniture.
The 81-year-old, who lives in Abertillery, Gwent, says: “I love my backyard but sadly I cannot get out as much as I would like because I am on oxygen 15 hours a day, so when I do have any spare time, it’s spent in the garden.”
But the great-grandmother isn’t short of help from her big family. She says: “I have two daughters, three grandchildren, and even three greatgrandchildren, so I have lots of readymade garden assistants.”
