Newcastle have won five consecutiv­e Premier League games for the first time since October/November 2014, while they are unbeaten in 10 in a row for the first time since May/ November 2011 (14 games). Graham Potter is the first Chelsea manager to lose three consecutiv­e Premier League games since Jose Mourinho in October/November 2015.

Newcastle will be in the Premier League’s top three at Christmas for the first time since the 2001-02 season, when they were top of the table on Christmas Day (later went on to finish 4th).

Chelsea have scored 17 goals in their 14 Premier League games this season; their fewest at this stage of a campaign since 2015-16 (also 17), when they went on to finish 10th. Joe Willock scored in consecutiv­e Premier League appearance­s for Newcastle for the second time this year, previously doing so in February. This was the first of his 13 goals in the competitio­n to be scored from outside of the box.

No keeper has kept more clean sheets than Newcastle’s Nick Pope in the Premier League this season (7). Chelsea only had seven touches in the opposition box, their fewest in a Premier League game since January against Manchester City.
