IN FOR THE KYL

United plotting ultimate revenge on Ronnie by replacing him with Mbappe

- BY DAVID McDONNELL

MANCHESTER UNITED have accelerated plans to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with £150million France superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Paris Saint-Germain hitman Mbappe has emerged as a shock target, with United possessing the financial clout to pay his fee and huge wages.

They currently pay Ronaldo

around £500,00 a week and are one of the few clubs in Europe who could entice World Cup winner Mbappe.

Ronaldo will be jettisoned following his bombshell TV interview in which he blasted the club and boss Erik ten Hag.

Although United were already looking at strikers, their plan was to make a move next summer when the Portuguese star’s contract is up.

But the 37-year-old’s attack has brought a premature end to his second Old Trafford spell, with club chiefs now deciding to bring forward their plans to help clinch a Champions League place.

Napoli’s Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen (top) is also on United’s radar and is a more attainable January target, with the Serie A club having braced themselves for a multitude of offers for their prolific £60m-rated star.
