408 AN AUTOMATIC CHOICE

The new Peugeot 408 fastback crossover is now open for orders with prices starting at £31,050.

A wide range of powertrains is available, all of which are used in existing Peugeot models.

But there will be no manual gearboxes. The Pugs start with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol 130bhp engine and an automatic eight-speed box.

At the top of the range is a PHEV powertrain which in First Edition trim costs £45,000.
