Dacia plans to replace chrome and leather with more sustainable materials. For example, instead of chrome plating its name badge, the firm will simply use white paint. Car makers have been talking for years about using more sustainable materials but the revolution has been slow in coming. Dacia also aims to replace hard plastics on dashboards with durable fabrics. Designers claim they’ll last longer. I hope this isn’t just talk and we’ll soon see the results.
