Abarth has decided to simplify its range and ordering process to make it easier for customers. So there are now two distinct versions of what we used to know as the Fiat 500 Abarth – that’s the 595 with a 165bhp engine and the 695 with the more powerful 180bhp version of the same 1.4-litre turbo unit.

The 595 is available in Tourismo or Competizione spec whereas you can only have the 695 in the latter trim level. Both hatchback and convertible bodystyles are available. Also new is an Orange Racing paint finish, above, which looks pretty neat in photographs.
