Around 300,000 households are still yet to claim the £150 council tax rebate. The one-off cost of living cash was made available in April for households in council tax A to D properties.

If you pay your council tax by direct debit, then you should’ve received the £150 automatically.

Those who don’t pay by direct debit have to apply for the money by November 30 – a deadline that was recently extended.

If you’re eligible, you can apply for the rebate directly through your council, normally by filling out a form on its website.
