CARE HOME CAP IS POSTPONED

A PROMISED cap on care home fees has been delayed at least two years, raising fears for its future. Boris Johnson’s proposed £86,000 lifetime limit on personal care was due to start next October.

Sir Andrew Dilnot, who drew up the plans, said he was “astonished” over the “really distressing and deeply regrettable” decision to delay the reforms.
