CAPELLO’S BAN ON KETCHUP & BECKS’ LOVE OF MEATBALLS

-

FORMER head chef Tim De’ath worked with some of the best managers and players from the last 20 years. Here he recalls some memorable orders.

Fabio Capello banned ketchup and mayonnaise, but they could have as much olive oil as they wanted. I think he thought that every single person in the

place was having ketchup on their food. He thought they should all eat Italian food.

John Terry would like a fillet steak, I would know exactly how he would like it cooked because we had a good friendship.

Peter Crouch had a great diet. I had a message from him saying I changed the way the food was done at England. That was very kind.

David Beckham was massively into his food. He loved my meatball recipe, which I learnt from someone in Sicily, and I even gave it to him. He loved Ostrich steaks too.
