‘Undercut’ by regime
MARK Drakeford admitted Wales’ appearance will be “undercut” by controversy around Qatar staging the World Cup.
The hardline regime has been criticised for its treatment of homosexuals and migrant labourers.
He said because of that, deciding whether to go to the finals was a “genuinely challenging decision”.
But he said: “If we’re not there then we lose opportunities to promote Wales.
