Energy sites blitz as snow falls on Kyiv
RUSSIAN airstrikes smashed into Ukraine’s energy plants yesterday as the first of the winter’s snow fell on the capital Kyiv.
At least four died with more than 20 wounded.
Power and gas plants have been targeted by Moscow in a bid to obliterate Ukrainian morale and the central city of Dnipro was also hit.
It comes as 100 Russian troops were believed killed overnight by Ukraine in the south and east – and three huge Russian ammunition dumps have been destroyed in the past 24 hours as Kyiv attempts to obliterate Moscow’s supply lines.
The head of Ukraine’s presidential office, Andriy Yermak, called the strikes on energy targets “naive tactics of cowardly losers”.
