These kittens have changed two children’s lives. The Thompson family adopted Tigger and Pearl from a rescue centre in Whitchurch, Shrops, as companions for autistic twins Henry and Amelia, seven. Dad James says: “The kittens help reduce stress and improve behaviour and social skills as the children feel more relaxed around them. They also teach them empathy and how to care for something.”
