Care delay ‘tragic’

-

JEREMY Hunt’s two-year delay to key social care reform is a “tragedy” and “seems inhumane” the architect of the original plans has said.

Sir Andrew Dilnot insisted there was “no excuse” after the Chancellor shelved the changes, including an £86,000 cap on personal care cost contributions.

Mr Hunt said yesterday the decision was a “source of great regret to me”.
