Fuel duty rise fear
A FUEL duty hike would be opposed by a “substantial number” of Tory MPs, Jeremy Hunt has been warned.
It follows claims prices could shoot up by 12p a litre in March due to inflation.
The Office for Budget Responsibility said it would bring in a record cash rise of £5.7billion. But MP Jonathan Gullis told Mr Hunt a fuel tax hike would be a “death knell” to economic recovery.
