Duo deliver after Euros racism hell

- BY ADAM ASPINALL

ENGLAND’S Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford gave the perfect response to the Euro racists yesterday.

Saka, 21, and Rashford, 25, scored three goals between them in England’s 6-2 romp against Iran.

The pair missed penalties in the Euros final defeat to Italy at Wembley last year.

They and Jadon Sancho were racially abused online.

Jonathon Best, 52, of Feltham, West London, was jailed for 10 weeks after he admitted sending a grossly offensive or indecent or obscene or menacing message or matter.

After yesterday’s game, where Kalvin Phillips and Jude Bellingham were snapped celebrating, Saka said: “It is a moment that has been with me and will be with me for ever.

“My friends and my family put their arm around me along with my teammates and the nation supported me to help me get back to a good place.”
