Judge’s fear on abducted kids in Libya
A HIGH Court judge has raised concern about three children “clandestinely” taken to Libya by their dad.
Mr Justice Peel said Libyan Fares Aljehani abducted Khalid, nine, and his sisters, Aasiyah, seven, and Maimunha, four, from the care of mum Dawn Daley, 44, in Manchester in July.
The children are at the centre of private litigation at London’s High Court.
Judges lifted restrictions barring them from being identified and gave Dawn the go-ahead to appeal to get them back publicly.
They said the couple were involved in divorce proceedings and that Mr Aljehani responded to notification of litigation with a “laughing emoji”.
The International Family Law Group is “gravely concerned” for the kids.
