Drivers snub winter roads
MILLIONS of motorists stop driving during winter.
A study said one in five drivers avoid the roads in colder months due to fears over slippery conditions and limited visibility.
And just under a third do not like driving in the dark all year round.
The OnePoll study of 2,000 drivers for insurer Zego said 39% will do festive shopping online to avoid driving to shops.
Zego chief Sten Saar said: “It is important to be cautious this time of year.”
