A MEMBER of a gang who used a country lane as a “private dumping ground” arrives for court with a traffic cone on his head, but fails to hide his identity.

Luke Edwards, 33, was among five men who deposited green waste and burned a fridge, resulting in a £42,000 clean-up in 2017.

He, Michael Whittaker, 52, Daniel Whittaker, 34, Shane Griggs, 37, and Jason Castle, 28, admitted dumping controlled waste near Downton, Wilts. Each was fined £1,200 at Winchester crown court, Hants.
