Chemo teen to keepie-up charity drive

- BY GEMMA BRADLEY

A GIRL is attempting to do 10,000 keepie-ups in a fundraiser despite having chemotherapy.

Isobel Hemmings, 15, was diagnosed with germ cell cancer in May and had a rugby ball-sized tumour removed from her ovary.

She was told she would be unable to play football for months but began her challenge for Macmillan.

However, at the start of the month she learned she would get chemo after cancer spread to her lungs.

Isobel, from Essex, has completed 7,000 keepieups so far, raising £1,900.

She said: “It can be harder sometimes because the chemo makes you very tired and it makes my legs get very heavy.

“So definitely I want to raise awareness and I think just hope and positivity.”
