Pep stays until 2025

PEP GUARDIOLA has agreed a new contract to remain at Manchester City until 2025.

Guardiola is understood to have thrashed out a deal in principle during a visit to Abu Dhabi to meet with City owner Sheikh Mansour.

The 51-year-old’s existing deal was due to expire at the end of this season, but the extension will keep Guardiola at City for the next two campaigns.

The Spaniard’s estimated salary is £20 million-a-year. His decision to stay is a huge coup for City and ends fears he could go at the end of this season.

Since joining in 2016, Guardiola has led City to four Premier League titles, four League Cup wins and one FA Cup, but has yet to lift the Champions League.
