Air-con leaves fans ‘too chilly’

MANY fans claim air-conditioning in the stadiums is so fierce they are left feeling too cold for comfort.

Qatari fan Faisal Rasheed, 40, said he had to wear his maroon sweatshirt in the colour of his nation’s flag and questioned whether air-con was needed on windy nights. A Japanese fan said he’d been sitting next to a cold air vent blowing at his feet.

He moaned: “I put on a jacket during the first half of the game at Al Bayt Stadium. I’ll wear long sleeves and long pants at the next game.”
