King makes his first mark
THE King shows a steady hand as he stamps his mark on a processional cross, a first for a British male monarch.
He was celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Goldsmiths’ Centre in Central London, where he met young apprentices.
Prime Warden of The Goldsmiths’ Company, Lord Bridges, said: “We believe, sir, that this is the first time the king of this country has applied the king’s mark in [British] history.”
