CROCK BETH TO FEEL THE LOVE

JONAS EIDEVALL hopes injured England star Beth Mead is “feeling the support” ahead of Arsenal’s Women’s Champions League clash with Juventus tonight.

The Gunners manager was dealt a major blow this week with news that Mead (above) had suffered a knee ligament injury.

Wins for Arsenal over defending champions Lyon and Zurich have sent them top of Group C, two points clear of opponents Juve and close to the last eight.

But they will have to do it without joint-top scorer Mead, and Eidevall said: “Everyone around the club has been very supportive. I hope Beth can feel that.

“Now it is on me to select a team that can create the best output possible (without Mead), that is the challenge.”
