MY AMAZING PHOTOGRAPH
Still to be found fluttering around this autumn, the small tortoiseshell butterfly is a familiar garden visitor that feeds on summer flowers like buddleia, and ivy and shrubs in the winter. Soon this one, snapped by Natalie Wusu, will overwinter in a nearby shed or garage.
The 26-year-old amateur snapper, who lives in Newport, Wales, says: “I took this photo of a pretty butterfly in my back garden.
“I love taking photographs, particularly of nature and the beautiful things around me.
“I am always in awe at the natural world – from tiny insects to the vast universe that goes far beyond human comprehension.”
