Zach has a Can-do attitude

- BY CHRIS McKENNA

ZACH PARKER is more interested in taking on Canelo Alvarez than getting revenge against Chris Eubank Jr for his old man.

The Derby supermiddleweight, 28, has been helped on his journey by mum Tina and dad Darren.

He faces British rival John Ryder tomorrow looking to land the interim WBO belt. Parker said: “Every time I won a trophy, it was for them two. My dad boxed Chris Eubank and trained me all the way through the amateurs.

“It would be great if I could win a world title for them one day.”

But Parker chuckled when it was suggested he could get revenge for his dad if he ever faced Chris Eubank Jr. Darren Parker lost to Eubank Sr in 1988.

The winner of tomorrow’s London clash will be mandatory for the WBO 12st belt held by Alvarez.

Parker added: “If I get this interim title, I’ve got something to entice him.”
