BBC’s Gladiators reboot has apparently come up with the best questions to find their new stars.
Anyone hoping to take up the mantle pommel stick of the legendary Wolf, Jet, Saracen and co, must answer:
“What’s your superpower?” (A superhuman endurance... for bingeing boxsets).
“Who would you want to play you in a Hollywood movie” (Neck up: me. Neck down: a CGI version of JLo).
“What sporting accolades have you won?” (Gymnastics: improvement in forwards roll, 1993 – yeah, that’s right, watch your back, Simone Biles!)
So should I give it the old Nike “Just Do It” try? Err, I’m going to save the BBC some time, and say I don’t think I’m quite ready to be the next Jet.
Although... if they were to put a cheese-stuffed crust pizza on the top of the travelator...
Well, then I’ll be up there quicker than The Flash.
I can just hear the commentator... “Unleash the turbo power! Here comes Flasher now, powering up the ...”
Oh hang on.
That’s maybe not the best moniker.
