RSPCA’s pet dump fears

-

THE RSPCA is pleading with people not to dump their pets this Christmas.

The charity reported over 13,100 abandonment cases up to October this year and 30,500 incidents of neglect, respective rises of 25% and 13% on the same period last year.

In recent weeks it has rescued puppies dumped in bins and carrier bags.

Rescuers fear more cases amid the cost of living crisis and one said: “Our branches and centres are full to bursting.”
