TWO-GOAL Andrej Kramaric thanked Canada boss John Herdman for taunting Croatia.

The former Leicester striker scored a goal in each half after Alphonso Davies (below) put Canada ahead.

The forward referenced Herdman’s claim his side would ‘F*** Croatia’.

Kramaric said: “I have to say thanks to the head coach of Canada for the motivation.

“I do believe he could have chosen better words. In the end, Croatia demonstrated who effed who.” The rival managers did not shake hands – and Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic said: “It will take him time to learn a few things.” Asked if he had any regrets over his words, Herdman replied: “No, not at all. There’s a respect there for Croatia.

“I could have been more composed coming out of the huddle.

“But that’s on me, that’s for me to learn.

“I’ll take it on the chin.”
