REECO HACKETT says Saturday’s Cup triumph highlighted the character within the Pompey squad.

The forward, who equalised, said: “There are a lot of leaders and big characters in this group, and going into the last 20 minutes we were strong enough to deal with the pressure.

“There’s a lot to work on but we won – and in a cup tie that’s all you really need to do.”

MK Dons boss Liam Manning said: “Discipline and quality was what cost us ultimately.”
