Murder case pensioners ‘a lovely pair’
A HUSBAND and wife whose deaths have sparked a double murder probe have been described as a “lovely couple”.
Brian and Mary Andrews, in their 70s, were found critically injured on Sunday morning.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Neighbours have told of their shock at the deaths of the couple, who have three grown-up children – two daughters and a son.
Locals in Sheffield said Mr Andrews worked as a builder and his wife was a retired nurse.
One said: “Unbelievable, poor Brian. And his wife was a nice woman too.”
Betsy Smith added: “Knew them. They were a lovely couple. May they rest in peace together.”
