Ada’s happy returns at 112
BRITAIN’S second oldest person has turned 112.
Ada Thompson celebrated the birthday with family at her care home.
Crediting not smoking or drinking, the greatgrandma-of-three, who got a card from the King, said: “I’m as happy as you like.”
Former mill worker Ada, of Keighley, West Yorks, who lost husband Eric in 2001, lived independently until 105 and has outlasted five monarchs and 23 PMs.
Ethel Caterham, 113, of Surrey, is the oldest Briton.
