THE son of a British mother sentenced to hang in India for killing her husband said he is looking forward to watching her die.

Last month, Ramandeep Kaur Mann, 38, was found guilty of murdering her husband Sukhjit Singh, 34, in 2016 after poisoning his biryani.

She laced his curry with sedatives before slitting his throat in their bed during a holiday.

Mann plotted to kill her Sikh husband with her lover Gurpreet Singh, Sukhjit’s childhood pal, to net a £2million life insurance policy.

The murder was witnessed by the married couple’s eldest son Arjun, who was then nine.

Arjun, 17, was a key trial witness and told how he saw his mother smother his father with a pillow before her lover hit him over the head with a hammer and then she slit his throat.

Now, Arjun, who lives with his brother Aaron, 13, in the Midlands, has branded his mum evil.

Speaking about the death sentence, he said: “I would like to be there when it happens. It doesn’t fill me with fear, in fact, it would give me a lot of satisfaction and relief.”

Mann, who grew up in Slough, Berks, met

Sukhjit in 2002 when she was 17 and he was 20.

They married in 2005 and after running a pizza restaurant in Carshalton, Surrey, moved to Derby to raise their two boys.

Mann and Gurpreet Singh began their affair a year before the barbaric crime while staying with family in Basantapur, Uttar Pradesh.

Mann is caged in Shahjahanpur District Jail, northern Indian, which she said is a living hell.

She added: “I was framed and now I’m rotting in this jail. I still can’t believe what’s happening to me. But I want people to know my story.”

Gurpreet confessed to the crime and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
