Bafta laughter
Win or lose, TV’s biggest stars full of smiles at glittering awards ceremony
The winners had plenty to smile about after Sunday night’s BAFTA TV awards.
And even stars who did not collect prizes got into the party spirit.
Lorraine Kelly, 64, denied rumours of a spat with pal Judi Love.
Comedian Judi 43, was seen appearing to roll her eyes at Lorraine’s Special Award win, but the pair posed happily together and Lorraine said: “What a lot of silliness – but it gave us both a laugh this morning.”
Judi’s Loose Women pals missed out in their category, but Charlene White, 43, enjoyed celebrating and joked of her own glam look the night before: “I can 100% confirm that I looked the complete opposite of this on the school run this morning.”
Someone who did still look the same was Good Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin, 42, who turned up to the studios at 5am in her dress from the ceremony. “I went to bed at a reasonable time but I couldn’t unzip the dress so had to sleep in it,” she said.
Comedian Rob Beckett, 38, joked his wife had requested a BAFTA for their mantelpiece before he and Romesh Ranganathan collected the Comedy Entertainment award, adding: “What Louise wants, Louise gets.”
Hannah Waddingham, 49, was seen swigging from a hip flask when her category was announced, while pregnant Emily Atack, 34, said she deserved to win a prize for “most club sandwiches consumed before 4pm”.
Other guests partying at the ceremony included Top Boy’s Jasmine Jobson, 29, Ant and Dec, both 48, Jurassic Park’s Jeff Goldblum, 71, and The Crown’s Elizabeth Debicki, 33, and Dominic West, 54.
