TV fave announces arrival of son Wilder with wife Anne-Marie
ANT McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie have welcomed their first child together into the world.
The thrilled TV star, 48, posted a black and white picture of himself holding his newborn boy, Wilder.
Ant declared: “Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend. Dad’s a mess!”
OVERJOYED Ant McPartlin was on “cloud nine” last night after the birth of his son Wilder.
The much-loved presenter, one half of ITV duo Ant and Dec, had spoken of wanting to have children for years.
His dream finally came true yesterday when wife Anne-Marie gave birth to Wilder Patrick McPartlin at 8.54am.
Ant, 48, confirmed the news with a picture of himself cradling the baby as he showed off a family tree tattoo.
He wrote: “Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick McPartlin. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”
Anne-Marie, 46, who he wed in 2021, is represented in his tattoo as “Amzie”, with teenage stepdaughters Poppy and Daisy, and pet dogs Bumble and Milo.
A family source said: “Ant is on cloud nine and overjoyed. It is what he has always wanted and Wilder will mean the world to him.
“Calling his mum Christine to tell her the news will have been incredibly emotional, she knows how much this will mean to him and everything he has been through in his life to this point.

“One of the first trips in the coming months will be back to Newcastle so his sister Sarha can meet Wilder, as they are very close. And you can guarantee his best pal Dec will be among the first people to meet little Wilder this week.
“They’ve been speaking of little else over the last few months. Ant has been leaning on him for advice and will be the person he can go to with questions, starting with how to change nappies.”
Celebrity pals shared their joy. Davina McCall said: “This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you.”
Holly Willoughby said: “Welcome to the world Wilder... such beautiful news.”
Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon said: “Baby shares the same birthday as my mummy! Can’t wait to meet buba and celebrate soon!”
Her fellow judge Amanda Holden said it was the “most amazing news”.
The name Wilder is said to be of German and old English origin. Wilder’s arrival follows a tough time for Ant with drink and prescription drug problems in 2017. He is now teetotal and his career with Declan Donnelly remains a juggernaut.
Ant had tried to conceive with first wife Lisa Armstrong and had spoken of their difficulties.
In 2013, he told Radio Times: “We’d love to have kids. We’re trying. It’s tougher than you think when you get a bit older.”
Anne-Marie had her two girls with businessman Scott Corbett, who she divorced in 2017.
