Your chance to find out about courses at Edinburgh College
OPEN days on June 17 and 18 will give prospective students an opportunity to explore the wide range of courses and study options available at Edinburgh College.
It has more than 900 courses available on a full-time, parttime, evening and openlearning basis for people looking to take their first step into further education or seeking to learn new skills to advance a career.
The open days at the Granton campus, June 17, 2-6pm, and Milton Road campus, June 18, 2-6pm, will have expert staff on hand to discuss course information, progression routes and funding options.
The college’s part-time, evening and leisure courses span a range of industry sectors including accounting and finance, art and design, business and enterprise, construction, care, hair and beauty, engineering, IT, performing arts, sport and travel – and they are available to apply for now.
However, the open days will also provide information on those full-time courses with places remaining for August starts.
The college is also hosting a special showcase event on Wednesday, May 27, 10am6pm, for apprenticeships at its Forthside construction training facility, when young people will have the chance to find out about career routes into the industry and link up with employers and training providers.
About 30 training providers, construction companies, local councils, universities, equipment suppliers, skills organisations and heritage groups will be on hand to show how they can support apprentices, employers and professionals to find the careers, employees and skills they need, as well as funding opportunities.
