WATCH OUT FOR BMX BANDITS IN THE PARK
BMX Bandits can’t wait to play this year’s Mugstock music festival after being added to this weekend’s line-up at Mugdock Country Park.
The weekender, which is run by volunteers, boasts a picturesque setting with stages, tents, Scottish food and drink and hidden artworks as well as performances in the woods surrounding the 14th century Mugdock Castle – and a line-up that showcases some of the best in Scottish contemporary music.
In only its second year, Mugstock takes place from today until Sunday with headline slots from Scottish album of the year nominee Emma Pollock, Edinburgh hip-hop act Stanley Odd, indie-folkster Siobhan Wilson, DJ duo Silicon Soul and Coatbridge’s Pale Fire as well as local acts Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5, The Girobabies, and The Fast Camels.
BMX Bandits’ frontman Duglas T Stewart said: “I reckon people want something that feels less corporate and more inclusive, more individual.
“Mugstock can deliver in ways that the big festivals just can’t. We plan to have a lot of fun.”
Full adult weekend tickets for MugStock 2016 are £75, and £37.50 for 13 to 17-year-olds and over-60s.
Under-12s go free, and camping passes are included free with every ticket. Visit www.mugstock.org/ tickets for full details.
