PEP GUARDIOLA revealed Samir Nasri has not played a minute in pre-season for Manchester City because he reported back overweight.

The Spaniard has told his players they will train alone or with the reserves if they are overweight, with midfielder Nasri paying the price for piling on the pounds.

Guardiola said: “Sami arrived a little bit overweight but he’s much better now. Still there is a little bit of weight.”

Nasri was overlooked for yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund which City won 6-5 on penalties. SAM ALLARDYCE’S plan to draft Paul Clement into his England’s coaching set-up has been blocked by Bayern Munich.
