29 coup cops in Turkey trial
TWENTY-nine ex-Turkish police officers have gone on trial accused of aiding a failed military coup in July.
The bid to overthrow president Recep Tayyip Erdogan resulted in 270 deaths and 40,000 arrests.
One of the accused, Tolga Gultekin, said: “I don’t have the slightest link to the coup.”
